Langley, VA — The United States Central Intelligence Agency released every top-secret document confirming and debunking every conspiracy since 1960. Except one.
The unexpected mass dump of documents was initiated by a Freedom of Information Act request (FOIA) by 12-year-old Constance Contact of Fresno, CA, that filled the entire gymnasium at Yosemite Middle School.
“We’re so proud of Constance. She’s got that Yosemite School Cougar spirit. But, RRRRRrrrrr!” exclaimed principal Carol Druthers speaking with local CBS news affiliate channel 10. “This is a project we do with all 7th graders, and Constance took it to another level.”
Here are some of the revelations buried in the reams of paper.
Document Number 190-a1.01 – The CIA Funded Tibet’s Dalai Lama
According to declassified State Department documents, the 14th Dalai Lama – the man whose smiling face we all picture in our minds – was paid $180,000 per year by the CIA for much of the 1960s.
The CIA payments to the Dalai Lama and his exile movement began shortly after World War II ended. Once Mao’s Communist revolution established itself as China’s ruling power, it sought to conquer Tibet, forcing the Dalai Lama into exile and seeking refuge in India.
The CIA funded the Dalai Lama and his exiled group to foment dissent against Mao’s regime as part of its global support for anti-Communist forces.
Document Number 72420-h14.41 – The CIA Used Weather Modification as a Weapon
Perhaps you’ve heard about how DARPA uses the HAARP program to exert global control over the weather or how we have a satellite capable of triggering earthquakes wherever we direct it.
These are just a few of the most popular conspiracy theories about the CIA’s capabilities, including manipulating mother nature herself. However, one documented instance of the CIA manipulating the weather to gain a strategic military advantage occurred during the Vietnam War.
It utilized the age-old technique of cloud seeding to increase rainfall, which is still used today by governments and farmers worldwide to alleviate droughts. While the effectiveness of cloud seeding is debatable, it typically entails an airplane flying through a cloud and releasing small particles that provide a surface for water vapor to condense and become rain.
This is precisely what the CIA did in Operation Popeye between 1967 and 1972 during the monsoon season in Southeast Asia via the Ho Chi Minh Trail. The objective was to wash out roadways and cause disruptive landslides along the route used by the NVA to transport weapons and supplies.
Document Number 42-z14.00 – Mind Control Program
If rumors about the CIA and the JFK assassination were not enough, at least two or three CIA agents were present when Sirhan Sirhan assassinated Bobby Kennedy. Additionally, the assassin claims he has no recollection of the incident and is a victim of a CIA mind control program that brainwashed him into a killer.
While there is no evidence linking the agency to the Kennedy assassinations, the fact that it did have a “mind control” program is uncontested.
Known as Project MKUltra, this program ran a series of tests from 1953 to 1973 to study human behavior to determine the most effective methods of eliciting information from detainees during interrogation.
It involved investigating the feasibility of developing a truth serum – a medication that would impair judgment and induce people to reveal their secrets. Additionally, the program investigated the possibility of obtaining information via hypnosis.
While this program became controversial in the end, it was not because it brainwashed people into becoming assassins. Instead, it was due to ethical concerns about the experimentation with drugs such as LSD on human subjects.
Document Number 32767-2000.5g – Fake Vaccination Program
The CIA conducted a phony vaccination program that resulted in the capture of Osama bin Laden. While it was controversial to use a medical program as a cover for an intelligence operation – the CIA has since stated that it will not do so again – the prospect of locating bin Laden outweighed any ethical concerns.
The CIA had tracked a courier to the location where they suspected bin Laden was hiding but could not confirm that he was indeed inside. However, they had bin Laden’s DNA on file due to his sister’s residence in Boston.
The agents realized that if they could obtain DNA from one of bin Laden’s children living at the compound and compare it to his sister’s DNA, they could confirm with a high degree of certainty that bin Laden was indeed inside.
They enlisted the assistance of a Pakistani doctor who traveled throughout the city in the guise of a vaccination program, identifying each address, administering vaccinations, and collecting DNA samples. They eventually tracked down bin Laden’s DNA via his children, and the rest is history.
Document Number 32767-2000.5g – False Flag Attack Involving Hijacking Airplanes
One of the most famous conspiracy theories is that 9/11 was a false flag operation. The CIA’s proposed role in Operation Northwoods is a critical piece of evidence frequently cited to support this.
This operation is not a conspiracy theory; it was made public in 1998 through declassified documents. The Kennedy Administration categorically rejected the proposal to hijack airliners and blamed Cuba for inciting a war against the new Castro regime.
