In an abrupt move, the Fox News Channel has fired all male employees.

New York, NY — In what some are calling a rash and hasty action, The Fox News Group, parent company of the News Channel, has fired all 253 male members of its staff and replaced them with an all female employee base.

The embattled channel has seen several recent controversies involving claimed sexual harassment of female employees by their male counterparts which led to the abrupt resignation of former Fox News CEO Roger Ailes and termination of Bill O’Reilly who had the channel’s most popular prime-time show.

In November 2016, Fox News former anchor Megyn Kelly wrote in her book about the details of her sexual abuse allegations against Ailes. According to Kelly, when she first joined Fox News, Mr. Ailes would have meetings with her, during which he would make sexual remarks. On April 19, 2017, Fox News announced that O’Reilly would not return to their primetime lineup amid sexual harassment claims.

The move, which has been criticized even by critics of the right-leaning news channel, sent shock waves through the cable industry. According to a brief memo released by the Fox News Group, all male personnel have been removed from the network including personalities such as Sean Hannity, Tucker Carlson, Bret Baier and any special appearances by Ann Coulter.  Greg Gutfeld is staying on.
