Roseville, CA — The popular online discount site Groupon removed a controversial coupon for what the company says was “an erroneous service” over the weekend. The Roseville, CA-based Hardon Studios had posted the Groupon, which according to a spokesperson, received hundreds of purchases and was dismayed as to why it was removed.
“There was nothing inappropriate about our offer,” said Hardon spokesperson Bethany Millbright. “In fact, it was one of the largest trending Groupons in the greater Sacramento area. And it was a great deal at $76/person. Either way, it was great advertising for us and we’re still, honoring the coupons.”
Groupon is a service that can save customers money through the use of virtual coupons. Much like a physical coupon book, shoppers use Groupon to get deals off of all sorts of things, from food to retail products to travel and for a brief time, personal porn services.
“We got ours just before Groupon took it down,” said nearby Citrus Heights resident Benjamin Coulter, a self-described “amateur film aficionado.” “They even removed the coupon from my account, the jerks. But I called up Hardon, and they’d said they’d honor it. So me and the girlfriend have our appointment next week. We added the Internet streaming option. Only cost another ten bucks.”
According to Hardon Studios website, they have extended the $76 per person deal up through early this year and encourage customers to take advantage of many of their upgrade offers.
