Fresno, CA — A Fresno man has filed for divorce from his wife of 17 years after he caught her deliberately hiding his 10mm sockets. Gary Ganes said that was the final straw and that his decision was difficult but necessary.

“Who does that? What kind of evil goes to the trouble of taking a 10mm socket?” Question Ganes, 38, scratching his head in disbelief. “For years, my stuff has gone missing; now I know who’s behind it.”

According to Ganes, in the 17 years, he’s been married to Delilah Samson-Ganes, a variety of items have disappeared.

“Were to I start? First, my baseball caps and then my wallet. And yeah, there’s been the 100 of times I’ve lost my car keys. Pffft. ‘Del said she found them in the freezer once, likely story. One time my debit card went missing only to magically turn up near the TV when I complained about it.”

For her part, Ms. Samson-Ganes is relieved about his decision.

“I’m tired of being blamed for his carelessness,” said Delilah recalling the many instances that her soon-to-be ex-husband lost items. “He has probably twenty 10mm sockets. He runs to Ace [Hardware] every time he loses ones. All I have to do is go into the garage, and I’ll find like 10 of them. But I’ve had it. He can find his sockets and a new wife now.”
