Van Nuys, CA — A San Fernando Valley startup is taking your weather to the next logical step by merging the two most popular Internet activities into one convenient application for your favorite mobile device. Adult Innovations of Van Nuys says it will release its Weather Wow application next month, which will combine the forecasting power of Weather.com and the adult entertainment of the Pornhub network, which includes several popular x-rated properties.
“We are simply thrilled about combining the two most popular activities on the Internet into one exhilarating application,” said Adult Innovations spokesperson Bethany Millbright speaking on an early Tuesday morning conference call. “We’ve changed the meaning of getting your weather. We expect demand to be high for the app, and already other networks are looking to partner with us.”
According to Ms. Millbright, the idea was born when Adult Innovations CEO Randy Rubber saw his teens playing with the popular and application called WTF Weather, which displays the current forecast along with snarky and sometimes vulgar snippets. Mr. Rubber immediately realized that there was a vast untapped market for synergistically combining pornography and weather.
Of course, not everyone is excited about the prospect of having pornography so readily available on mobile devices.
“This is simply sick,” said David Bartholomew, the leader of Fathers Against Porn or FAP, a Christian-based organization founded in 2002 by then-Texas Solicitor General Ted Cruz. “What kind of world do we want to live in? What kind of world do we want for our kids with this kind of stuff at their fingertips? Look, I don’t care what people do in the privacy of their homes, I don’t want this out in the open.”
Adult Innovations says that the iTunes and Google Play stores have initially refused to store Weather Wow. Still, they are optimistic that, over time, due to the application’s guaranteed success, they will have a change of heart.
