A Californian’s Eye-Opening Experience with a Ball of Light and Helicopters, by Julia Child

San Jose, CA — Goodness gracious, it seems that we have another UFO sighting to add to the list! A witness in San Jose, California reported a rather intriguing event to the National UFO Reporting Center (NUFORC).

It was on the evening of February 6, 2023, around 8:50 p.m. when the witness heard a loud noise, similar to that of a helicopter, passing directly above their home. They immediately ran outside to see what was going on.

“Imagine my surprise when I saw a massive ball of white light coming from the hills, heading straight towards my house,” the witness laid out. “It was so bright and large, I was in awe. And there were no blinking lights like an aircraft should have.”

The witness then noticed two large helicopters flying next to the ball of light, both with the normal blinking lights of an aircraft. The object and the helicopters flew directly over the witness’s house before continuing toward the Santa Cruz Mountains.

The ball of light had no discernible shape, and the only sound the witness could hear was from the helicopters.

“I simply couldn’t figure out what I was looking at,” the witness stated.

Cases of military helicopters chasing objects have been reported for decades, including the infamous Cash-Landrum case in 1980. However, there have also been numerous cases where simple witnesses observe this behavior but never receive any follow-up information from the military.

Unfortunately, this report did not include any images and was filed on February 17, 2022. San Jose is the county seat of Santa Clara County, California, with a population of over 1 million people.

And it seems that California is quite the hot spot for UFO sightings. With 62 cases reported in January 2023, it was rated number one in the U.S. by MUFON. In fact, 69 sphere cases were reported nationally in that same month.

Remember, if you ever witness any UFO activity, be sure to report it to NUFORC or MUFON. Bon appétit!

Here is a recipe for reporting UFO sightings in California:
