Chemtrail Debate Reveals Deep Divide in the State of Jefferson Movement

Yreka, CA — The Fazzler has learned the proposed new State of Jefferson has no position policy on the looming  Chemtrail menace currently plaguing many parts of California. However a significant debate has opened up on Social Media which seems to signal a rift between the Oregon supporters and their Californian cohorts to the south.

The State of Jefferson is a proposed U.S. state that would span the contiguous, mostly rural area, of southern Oregon and northern California, where several attempts to secede from Oregon and California have taken place in order to gain statehood. Supporters maintain that these rural counties are grossly under-represented in their state legislatures and they seek to establish a new state.

Although the movement has some momentum and it has its share of supporters, most people believe that the new proposed state has about as much chance of succeeding as an ice-cube in Tucson due to the extreme difficulty of creating a new state. Americans also seem quite satisfied with its anal-retentive even number of 50 states. Moreover, people who are sympathetic to the movement believe that the rhetoric of the Jefferson State supporters is alienating them from more mainstream supporters.

The Chemtrail conspiracy debate has revealed some acrimony between the Oregon and California Jefferson coalitions.

“We are leaving the Chemtards in Kalifornia,” said one current Oregon State of Jefferson supporter. “There is no doubt that the U.S. government has no qualms about sickening/killing its own people. But let’s leave them to Kalifornia.”

Not everyone is highlighting the divide between North and South. Some prefer to address the Chemtrail issue straight on with more or less official State of Jefferson rhetoric.

“There is no ‘official policy’ on anything yet. We don’t even have a state, let alone a Constitution, a Legislature or a Governor,” said one State of Jefferson supporter. “But Jefferson doesn’t take sides on issues. But a lot of Individuals who are apart of Jefferson are against chemtrails.”

Still Chemtrail believers, or “Chemmies” as they’re known in Social Media and the DSM IV, are using the recent media coverage and awareness to sound the alarm on their unproven, unscientific, largely medieval belief systems.

“When I was growing up all the contrails coming out of the aircraft that I myself witnessed, disappeared before the plane even left sight,” said one rather adamant, non-scientist Chemmie in the State of Jefferson Facebook Group. “Now the trails oftentimes stick around for hours after the plane is no longer in visual range. Vapor alone does not do that. When vapor comes out of your teapot, does it linger in your living room for eight hours afterward?”

It’s unclear at the time of this writing if the State of Jefferson plans on developing a position on the Chemtrail issue anytime soon.
