McLean, VA — The Capital One Financial corporation abruptly removed its ANTIFA Mastercard Rewards card this past week after receiving negative media reports. The card, which promised disenfranchised Millennials “a guaranteed payback” if they spent more than $500 per month on purchases at participating national retail establishments.

“We regret any distress we have caused the community we serve with our ANTIFA Mastercard Rewards card,” said Capital One Director of Communications Bethany Millbright. “Which is why we’re proud to announce our newest product, the Patriot Awards Card, which will offer similar rewards to the ANTIFA program.”

For current ANTIFA Rewards cardholders, they will be receiving a cancelation notice in the mail within 15 days, and according to Capital One, will be able to re-apply for the Patriot program within 30 days.
